Family First

Columbia isn't just where Stewart lives, it's home.

Born and raised in Columbia, Stewart is the son of the late Jim Parker and Carese Parker. He was raised on a simple family principle that continues to guide his life today:

"Do Right and Fear None."

Stewart and his wife, Sara, have built their lives in Columbia and are proud parents of two children, Morgan and Brace. Like so many families in our community, they want Columbia to remain a place where future generations can build careers, purchase homes, raise families, and enjoy the same sense of community that has made this city so special.

Driven by passion

For more than three decades, Stewart has built a career centered on trust, responsibility, and long-term planning.

After graduating from college, he began his career with Merrill Lynch before returning home in 2002 to lead the Columbia office. Today, he is a partner in a financial advisory practice responsible for helping individuals, families, farmers, business owners, and retirees plan for their financial futures while managing approximately $1 billion in client assets.

His professional experience has taught him the importance of listening, building relationships, making informed decisions, and planning for long-term success, qualities he believes are essential for effective city leadership.
