My Vision for Columbia

I believe Columbia should be a city where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. A community where people with different perspectives can come together, work toward common goals, and focus on what truly matters instead of what divides us.

I see a Columbia that embraces growth while preserving its character. A Columbia that continues investing in its people. A Columbia where families thrive, businesses prosper, neighborhoods remain strong, and future generations are proud to call this city home.

Simply put...I want Columbia to be even better tomorrow than it is today.

Why I'm Running Now

I believe Columbia is at a crossroads. The decisions we make over the next several years will shape our city for generations. Now is not the time for short-term thinking.

We need leadership willing to ask hard questions, make thoughtful decisions, and always keep the long-term future of Columbia in mind.

Good enough is not good enough. We owe future generations our very best.

Why I Believe I'm Ready to Lead

Throughout my career in business and public service, I've learned that lasting progress begins with strong relationships. I've spent decades earning trust, bringing people together, and working toward common goals. Those relationships matter now more than ever.

Columbia has been fiscally responsible for many years, and that's something we should all be proud of. But there is still tremendous opportunity ahead.

One of my priorities is rebuilding strong relationships at the state level so Columbia is well-positioned to secure additional funding for roads, infrastructure, and projects that improve quality of life for our residents.

I also want people to know this: I'm not a career politician. I have no higher political ambitions.

I'm running for one reason—to help make Columbia even better.

Committed to Making Columbia Even Better

For more than 41 years, Columbia has been my home. It's where I've built my family, my career, and lifelong friendships. I've watched our city grow from Tennessee's best-kept secret into one of the most desirable places to live in our state.

I'm running for Mayor because I believe Columbia's best days are still ahead—but only if we make thoughtful decisions today that protect our future tomorrow.

This campaign isn't about politics. It's about people. It's about ensuring our children and grandchildren have the opportunity to build a life right here in Columbia, just as generations before us have.

My Why

My motivation is simple. I want to help create a Columbia where my children—and your children—can choose to stay or come back after college, find meaningful careers, afford to buy a home, raise a family, and enjoy the same opportunities that have made this community such a special place to live.

Every decision we make today should be measured by one question:

Will this make Columbia an even better place for the next generation? That's the question that drives me every day.

Columbia's Greatest Opportunity

People often ask me what keeps me up at night. The answer is growth.

For decades, those of us who have called Columbia home knew we had something special. We were Tennessee's best-kept secret.

Well... the secret is out.

The truth is, we're not going to stop growth—and we shouldn't try. Growth brings opportunity, investment, and new ideas. The question isn't whether Columbia will grow. The question is whether we'll shape that growth or allow it to shape us.

I believe we have an incredible opportunity to mold growth in a way that serves the people who already call Columbia home.

That means protecting our neighborhoods, improving roads and infrastructure, supporting local businesses, and keeping Columbia affordable for working families.

We've come too far to go backwards.

Shape Growth With Purpose

Manage growth in a way that protects our community, strengthens infrastructure, supports local businesses, and keeps Columbia a place families can continue to afford and enjoy.

Rebuild Relationships

Strengthen partnerships at the state level to bring additional resources and investment back to Columbia while continuing our city's tradition of responsible financial stewardship.

The Values That Guide Me

The values that have guided my family for generations continue to guide me today.

Do Right and Fear None.

I strive to live by that principle every day. Like everyone, I don't always get everything right. When I fall short, I learn from it, improve, and keep moving forward.

I also believe in:

  • Treating others the way you want to be treated.

  • Hiring good people and trusting them to do their jobs.

  • Working smarter while never being afraid of hard work.

  • Leading with accountability: Decide. Delegate. Follow Up.

  • Giving your very best to every commitment you make.

  • Remembering that attitude is everything.

These aren't just words. They're principles I've tried to live by throughout my life, and they're the same principles I'll bring to City Hall.
